FarrowMat provides extra heating to keep the newborn piglets warm
Research shows that 0,28 piglets per litter can be saved by applying heating, and FarrowMat is a simple and efficient way of doing so.
The mat is placed behind the sow during farrowing and plugged into a standard power outlet. It heats up to approximately 37 degrees C within a few minutes and maintains this temperature until disconnected from power.
FarrowMat is energy-efficient because it heats the piglets from underneath. Max power consumption is 200W during warm-up, and the normal consumption is 1,5 KWh during 12 hours of use.
